I cannot log in or have forgotten my password. What do I need to do?
If you are unable to log in, there can be various reasons.
First, eliminate all possible sources of error:
- Check if your email address and password are spelled correctly.
- Pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters and check if the Caps Lock key is active.
If you still cannot log in, you can request a new password.

Why do I need to register?
During registration, you create a job offer or profile and specify exactly what you are looking for. Suitable pet sitters or pet owners in your area will then be informed about your search, and you will receive messages within a short time. Of course, you can also search for and contact suitable pet sitters or job offers yourself in parallel.

I have registered but have not received an activation e-mail. What do I need to do?
If you registered but did not receive an activation link via email, this could be due to several reasons:
- The email might have landed in your spam folder. Check your spam folder in your email program and mark the email as "Not Spam".
- You may have mistyped your email address.
Register again and make sure to enter your email address correctly.
Is the service subject to a fee?
There are free and fee-based services:
- For private petsitter, the service is free of charge.
- Pet owners can also register for free in order to gain a picture of the available pet sitters. Any subsequent contact is subject to a fee.
Please note that different conditions apply for private individuals and companies.

Why is nobody answering my advertisement?
How complete your profile is can often be the decisive factor. The more complete your profile is, the greater the chance that somebody will contact you.
- Upload a photograph
- Fill in your profile to the greatest extent possible
- Provide more detailed information about yourself and the position to be filled
We also recommend that you answer advertisements yourself.
Why is nobody responding to my messages?
There could be several reasons for this.
- Not everybody reads their e-mail every day, with some only checking their account once a week.
- The recipient has already found an appropriate solution and has forgotten to deactivate his or her profile.
- The recipient is on holiday.
How can I change my e-mail address?
To change your email address, follow these steps:
- Log in to Tiersitter24.
- Open "Settings".
- Click "Edit" next to "Email Address".
- Enter the desired email address.
- Confirm by clicking "Save".
You will then receive an activation link at your new email address.
How can I delete my account?
To delete your account, follow these steps:
- Log in to Tiersitter24.
- Open "Settings".
- Scroll down and click "Delete Account".
- Confirm by clicking "Delete Account".
Please note that your account will be permanently deleted and we will not be able to restore it.
How can I activate/deactivate e-mail notifications informing me about new members in my area?
You can enable or disable email notifications at any time.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Log in to Tiersitter24.
- Open your settings.
- Click on "Edit" in the "E-mail notifications" section.
- Check or uncheck the box next to the option "New profiles/Job offers in the area".
- Confirm by clicking "Save".

What payment methods are available?
You can use one of the following payment methods:
- Credit card (Mastercard or Visa)
- PayPal
- Klarna (only for pet owners)
Please note that the payment methods differ for pet owners and pet sitters as described. We only offer the payment options listed on the payment page. Payment by invoice is not possible.
Which safety precautions are in place to protect the pet owners?
Do I have to cancel my paid Premium Membership?
No, the premium membership is not a recurring subscription and ends after the booked period. After that, it reverts back to the free basic membership. There are no additional fees for you.

I am unable to contact a petsitter. What do I need to do?
To contact pet sitters and respond to applications, you must be a premium member. Learn more about the many benefits of premium membership and our conditions here: Prices and Conditions
If you are already a premium member, check if you mistakenly registered as a pet sitter. If this is the case, please delete your account and register again. Choose the option "I am looking for pet care".
I cannot find a pet sitter in my region. What would you advise?
Are you finding only a few pet sitters in your area? Don't worry. These steps will help you refine your search and find the right pet sitters faster. Here are a few tips what you can do:
- Expand search criteria: Increase the search radius or use alternative postcodes. Many pet sitters are flexible and willing to travel a certain distance.
- Check your filters: Make sure that no filters are set that are too strict and limit the number of pet sitters displayed.
- Log in regularly: Potential pet sitters can see when you were last online. Logging in regularly can help to show interest so that you are contacted directly by pet sitters.

I have mistakenly registered as a pet sitter instead of as a pet owner. What do I need to do now?
If you mistakenly registered as a pet sitter, you need to (1) delete your account and (2) register again.
(1) Delete Account
To delete your account, follow these steps:
- Log in to Tiersitter24.
- Open "Settings".
- Scroll down and click "Delete Account".
- Confirm by clicking "Ok".
Please note that your account will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
(2) Register Again
- Please select the option "I am looking for pet care" when registering again.

How is it ensured that pet owners are trustworthy?
Every job offer on Tiersitter24 goes through a multi-step quality assurance process.
If you receive a response to your application, you can assume that the person is a premium member. This means we have received their name, address, and payment details.
You can consider a job offer to be reputable if it meets the following criteria:
- A detailed description of the desired activity is provided.
- The profile is completely filled out.

Why is nobody responding to my messages?
There could be several reasons for this.
- Not everybody reads their e-mail every day, with some only checking their account once a week.
- The recipient has already found an appropriate solution and has forgotten to deactivate his or her profile.
- The recipient is on holiday.
- Unfortunately the recipient is not sticking to our rules and is leaving messages unanswered.
- Pet owners need a premium-membership in order to answer the received messages. It can take a couple of days, before a pet owner adds the premium access to his account options.
