Insofar as you use our website only for information purposes, without providing us with other information, we collect only the personal data that your browser transfers to our server. Information about the collection of personal data when using our platform

Insofar as you wish to use our platform, you need to register by providing your e-mail address, a self-selected password as well as the reason for this use (person offering or seeking). We use the so-called double opt-in process for the registration, meaning that your registration can be completed only when you activate your user account by clicking on the link in the confirmation e-mail sent by us to you. Provision of your e-mail address, the reason for use and the password are obligatory.

If you use our platform to create a job ad, we will store your necessary data. Specifically, the following personal data will be requested: First name, last name, postcode, place of residence, phone number (optional).

If you use our platform to create a profile as a pet sitter, we will store your necessary data. Specifically, the following personal data will be requested: First name, last name, date of birth, postcode, place of residence, gender, phone number (optional).

If you would like to make use of our premium offer, we require information on the payment method and your complete billing address, consisting of first name, last name, street, postcode, town.

3.4

The voluntary data provided by you will be stored for the duration of your use of the platform, unless you delete it beforehand. You can administer and amend all details in the protected client zone. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

3.5

The aim of our platform is to bring together people who offer or search for the service mentioned on our website by means of publicly accessible job advertisements or profiles. If you use our platform, your personal data accessible in the public job advertisement or profile will be visible to all visitors of the website. This specifically includes: First name, postcode, place of residence, age, photos. Last name, street, e-mail address are not visible. To boost your ability to find a pet sitter or job, your public job listings or profiles can be shared with external search engines and service providers.

The connection is encrypted using TLS technology to prevent unauthorised accessing of your personal data.

3.7

Pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, the processing of your data is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with us or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, as we cannot conclude the contract or implement pre-contractual measures without these. We erase the data arising in this context once the storage is no longer required, or limit the processing if statutory retention obligations exist.

Marketing Activities

We engage in marketing activities with third-party partners to enhance our services and reach. These partners include Facebook (including Instagram and WhatsApp), AWIN, Jooble, Microsoft Advertising, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.

Legal Basis: Consent according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4.1

Facebook (Facebook & Instagram): We use the Facebook Pixel on our website, a Facebook Business tool by Facebook Ireland Limited (Ireland, EU). Contact details for Facebook Ireland and their Data Protection Officer can be found in META’s Privacy Policy.

The Facebook Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that allows us to track visitor activities on our website, known as conversion tracking. It collects and processes the following event data: visitor actions on our website, specific pixel information like Pixel ID and Facebook cookie, information on buttons clicked by website visitors, HTTP header information (such as IP addresses, browser details, page location, and referrer), status of ad tracking deactivation/restriction. Some of this event data is stored on your device. The Facebook Pixel also uses cookies to store information on your device. This storage or access occurs only with your consent.

Tracked conversions appear in our Facebook Ads Manager and Facebook Analytics dashboard. We use this data to measure ad effectiveness, set up Custom Audiences for ad targeting, run Dynamic Ads campaigns, and analyze our website's conversion funnels.

Instagram: In addition to Facebook, we also utilize Instagram, a service provided by Facebook Ireland Limited, for advertising and communication purposes. Data collected through interactions on Instagram may also be used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and enhance our marketing strategies. AWIN: We participate in affiliate marketing programs with AWIN AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany ("AWIN"). AWIN collects data to track sales and actions from users who click on affiliate links. This includes interaction data (clicks, views), transaction data (order value, product details, date), technical data (IP address, browser type, device information), cookies, and tracking technologies. AWIN uses cookies and tracking technologies to gather this data, which are stored on your device when you click on an affiliate link. This information is used to attribute transactions correctly and manage our affiliate program.

Jooble: We collaborate with Jooble, Ladoburn Europe LTD, Cyprus 3030, Limassol, for recruitment marketing activities. Jooble collects and processes data about user interactions with our job listings, such as clicks and views, to optimize the visibility and reach of our job postings. Jooble uses cookies and other tracking technologies to collect this data. These cookies are stored on your device when you interact with our job listings on Jooble. Microsoft Advertising: We use Microsoft Ads, a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA, for marketing activities to promote our products and services. Microsoft Advertising is an online marketing service that uses the Universal Event Tracking (UET) tool to help us display targeted advertisements via the Microsoft Bing search engines. Microsoft Advertising uses cookies for this purpose. This involves processing personal data in the form of online identifiers (including cookie identifiers), IP addresses, device identifiers, and information about device and browser settings.

Your personal information may be shared with Bing to enhance our marketing campaigns and provide you with relevant offers. Bing may use your information in accordance with its privacy policies.

Google Ads: We use Google Ads, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Ireland/EU), for marketing activities to display personalized advertisements and measure the performance of our advertising campaigns. Limitation of Liability
5.1

Lemonfrog AG only brokers service contracts between service-seekers and service-providers. It does not itself become a contractual partner of such a service contract. In this respect, all disputes arising from such a service contract relate solely to the parties who have concluded the service contract. Lemonfrog AG therefore accepts no liability for damages or disputes arising from such a service contract between service-seekers and service-providers. The service-provider must independently obtain all necessary residence or work permits. The service-seeker has to insure the service-provider - as far as legally required - in a legally compliant manner or, if applicable, to inform the service-provider about the necessity of such an insurance.

5.2

Except if essential contractual obligations are violated, Lemonfrog AG shall be liable for damages vis-a-vis entrepreneurs only if and to the extent Lemonfrog AG, its legal representatives, senior executives or other persons employed by Lemonfrog AG in the performance of its obligations (Erfüllungsgehilfen) having acted with intent or with gross negligence. Should essential contractual obligations be violated, Lemonfrog AG shall be liable for any culpable conduct of its legal representatives, senior executives or other persons employed by Lemonfrog AG in the performance of its obligations (Erfüllungsgehilfen). The term "essential contractual obligations" means such obligations, the fulfillment of which is required for a proper execution of the contract, on whose compliance the contractual partner relies and may regularly rely and whose violation jeopardizes the achievement of the contractual purpose.

5.3

Vis-a-vis consumers, Lemonfrog AG shall only be liable for intent and gross negligence and, in addition, in the event of a culpable violation of essential contractual obligations (as defined in section 4.2), debtor’s default or impossibility of performance for which Lemonfrog AG is responsible, for any culpable conduct of its legal representatives, senior executives or other persons employed by Lemonfrog AG in the performance of its obligations (Erfüllungsgehilfen).

5.4

With the exception of intentional or grossly negligent conduct of legal representatives, senior executives or other persons employed by Lemonfrog AG in the performance of its obligations (Erfüllungsgehilfen), the liability of Lemonfrog AG shall be limited in its amount to damages typically foreseeable at the time the contract is concluded.

5.5

Lemonfrog AG accepts no liability for the compensation of indirect damage, in particular for loss of profits, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of its legal representatives, senior executives or other persons employed by Lemonfrog AG in the performance of its obligations (Erfüllungsgehilfen).

5.6

The aforementioned exclusions and limitations of liability vis-a-vis entrepreneurs or consumers shall neither apply in the event of specific guarantees having been made by Lemonfrog AG, nor in case of damages resulting from injury to life, limb or health or the violation of mandatory statutory provisions such as the Product Liability Act.

Use of cookies
6.1

When you use our website, cookies are also stored on your computer, i.e. small text files that are stored on your hard disk assigned to the browser you use and through which certain information is sent to us as the party that has installed the cookie. A/B testing
8.1

We aim to continuously improve our offer and make this more interesting for you. This is done on the basis of analyses of user behaviour, which we conduct using so-called A/B testing. In this conjunction our website pages are displayed with minor deviations, depending on the profile assignment that has been made. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

Data processing in the context of user identification

In order to offer your potential clients the greatest possible safety and reliability as a service provider, we offer profile verification by checking your identity using an electronic ID check.

For this purpose, we work together with PXL Vision AG, Mühlebachstrasse 164, 8008 Zurich. If you select profile verification as part of the profile settings, you will automatically be redirected to the external PXL Vision application for ID verification. The PXL Vision application then carries out the verification of your ID document data on its own responsibility. You will be informed by PXL Vision about the processing of your data in the verification process before the identification process begins.

You will be asked to photograph your identification document from both sides and take a short selfie video of yourself. PXL Vision then verifies that your ID is genuine and that your face captured in the video matches the ID. After successful identification, PXL Vision will ask for your consent to share the identity verification data with Lemonfrog, or the Lemonfrog website you use.

Upon your consent, PXL Vision will transmit to us the photo and video files taken during the identity verification process, as well as the personal data read from your identification document, for the purpose of matching them with your registered user data.

We then match the data received from PXL Vision with your registration data and delete it again after successful matching.

9.4
Data processing in the context of content moderation

Besedo is our current service provider for Content Moderation, your data will be sent to Besedo for this operation service following the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU. Besedo has implemented standard security measures, aligned with ISO 27001:2022, to protect your information for the purposes defined by Lemonfrog. The data mentioned in paragraph 2 can be shared with Besedo for quality assurance.

In other respects, your data will not be passed on to third parties, unless we have a legal obligation to pass this on or if this serves criminal prosecution.

We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services.
