Dog
Hello!
My name is Uladzimir, I am 33 years old and originally I am from Belarus.
Me and my wife took a dog about 7 month ago from dog shelter in Belarus. Dog's name is Benny, it's female-dog with age between 1 and 1.5 years. She isn't yet sterilized, but we're going to do that in next months.
From what we see, Benny in her past was living somewhere with people. Somehow it's happened that she became alone on a street and old owners was not looking for her. People from dog shelter in Belarus took this dog, then I and my wife adopted her.
This is a very smart and joyful mix of terrier breed and something similar to spaniel. Its weight is about 10 kilo and her size definitely very close to spaniel. She understands very well when the owner is happy and unhappy and learns very fast about which things are allowed and which do not.
She perfectly knows her name and basic commands. Even though might not want to do all of them immediately (on streets I walk with her on long leash - sometimes her curiosity works stronger than commands). And she will do everything for small piece of food :)
Specific thing that she doesn't trust random people so easy (probably because of bad experience in the past - I don't know). So in worst case she will bark few times, but she never bite neither people, nor dogs. She is barking only when she is frightened of something. So it's not a perfect dog to go inside of a crowd in a city center. But once she stays with you and trust you - it's a cat in dog's body.
And she likes other dogs in 90% cases (except dogs which are aggressive to her).
What is very interesting that she 100% trusts other people with dogs. For her such people became friends immediately. So if you have a dog - you'r already her friend.
I'd like to leave Benny with good people for my vacations. I'm not in rush and of course I will help you to know each other and to understand if all work well.
Feel free to reach me out for any kind of questions.
